Are you an experienced project manager with a gift for supporting others to deliver their projects end-to-end? Do you have experience working across multiple programmes and projects, supporting different teams to meet their deliverables and looking ahead to forecast potential challenges? We have a role for you!

The Mental Health Foundation is looking for an experienced project management coordinator to join our team and help us deliver a range of programmes and projects.

We’re growing, and our work is expansive and diverse. This new role will support all our teams to ensure our work is coordinated, effective and delivered on time, on budget and in a way that best meets the needs of our communities.

The person in this role will need to have an eye for potential risks and challenges, and be skilled at managing relationships between teams and individuals to resolve any issues as they arise. They will have experience working with project management software, and be able to bring our teams along with them and teach them processes, software and other tools to make the process of managing projects easy and help us get the best possible results.

A friendly, approachable manner is essential, as is a ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for our mahi.

You will also have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in managing multiple projects using project management tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong ability to have challenging conversations in a positive, mana-enhancing manner
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Ability to build/maintain relationships with a wide number of people
  • Strong understanding of budget management and ability to monitor multiple budgets concurrently
  • Willingness to grow understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and its practical application
  • Willingness to grow knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori

If the sight of a well-organised gantt chart fills you with joy, if nothing makes you happier than a completed to-do list, and if meeting deadlines is your number one motivator, we want to hear from you.

The Mental Health Foundation actively promotes the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We value the expertise of people with experience of mental illness – tangata whaiora – and we are an Equal Opportunity employer.

Applicants for this role must have NZ Residency or a valid Work Visa.

Applications will be reviewed upon completion on a rolling basis.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 16th April 2021 at 5pm.
