The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) is embarking on an exciting and innovative fundraising journey and this role is pivotal to its success. If you’re an experienced and talented fundraiser ready to take on a new challenge with a team full of like-minded people passionate about fundraising and making a difference, this is the role for you.

The Campaigns and Community Fundraising Officer will contribute to the development of, and lead the roll out of MHF’s campaign and community fundraising programmes. This includes leading the fundraising component of key campaigns such as Pink Shirt Day and Mental Health Awareness Week, and any other new fundraising focussed campaigns we develop. It will also steward and guide those awesome people out in our community doing amazing things to support us and our mahi.

If you’re a fundraiser who loves being part of a dynamic team chasing a challenge, enjoys being part of big campaigns, and also enjoys helping community fundraising initiatives take it to the next level you’ll really enjoy this role.

You will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in fundraising practices
  • Willingness to grow and extend knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori
  • Experience implementing campaign and community fundraising campaigns
  • Demonstrated project management experience and skills
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience delivering effective fundraising strategies
  • Ability to use initiative and work collaboratively within a team environment i.e. preference for team working

This a new role and sits within the Mental Health Foundation’s Fundraising team and reports to the Events and Community Fundraising Team Lead.

The salary will commensurate to the successful candidate's skills and experience for the role.
