Terms and Conditions for our giveaways, prizes and contests.

How do I feel? Book Giveaway

  1. The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) E-bulletin How do I feel book giveaway is open to residents of New Zealand. 
  2. To be eligible, you must send an email to library@mentalhealth.org.nz telling us how many "thumbs up" our reviewer Anna gives this book! The competition closes Wednesday, 26 May 2021 at 5pm. This will be deemed one entry and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Winners will be chosen by MHF staff members in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. 
  4. All decisions are final. 
  5. Employees of the MHF or anyone else connected with the prize events are not eligible to win the prizes. 
  6. Entries received after the indicated closing date will not be considered. 
  7. The prize winners will be contacted by an MHF staff member. 
  8. Each prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes. 
  9. The winners may be required for promotional activity. 
  10. If prize winners do not provide MHF staff with shipping details within two weeks of being contacted, they will no longer be eligible to receive their prize and will be subject to a redraw. 
  11. The MHF will take care of any personal information that you supply as described in our privacy policy. 
  12. The MHF accepts no responsibility for entries that are delayed, misdirected, incomplete, cannot be entered or for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery in any of these events is not proof of acceptance by the MHF. 
  13. The MHF accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred by you as a result of entering the MHF E-bulletin "How do I feel" book giveaway competition or accepting of a prize. The MHF further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s technical devices (eg a number of devices including computer and phones) relating to or resulting from participation in the MHF E-bulletin How do I feel book giveaway. 
  14. The MHF shall have the right at any time to change or discontinue any aspect of competition

Angst Book Giveaway

  1. The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) E-bulletin Angst book giveaway is open to residents of New Zealand.
  2. To be eligible, you must send an email to library@mentalhealth.org.nz telling us a useful thing you do or say to yourself when you feel angst or worry bubbling up. The competition closes Wednesday, 3 March 2021 at 5pm. This will be deemed one entry and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Winners will be chosen by MHF staff members in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  4. All decisions are final.
  5. Employees of the MHF or anyone else connected with the prize events are not eligible to win the prizes.
  6. Entries received after the indicated closing date will not be considered.
  7. The prize winners will be notified through Facebook and contacted by an MHF staff member.
  8. Each prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

E-Bulletin Survey

E-Bulletin Subscribers Annual Survey $50 Countdown Gift Card Draw

  1. The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) E-Bulletin Subscribers Annual Survey $50 Countdown Gift Card draw is open to residents of New Zealand.
  2. To be eligible, you must be an E-bulletin subscriber and complete the survey by Wednesday 5 May 2021 and you'll go into the draw to win the $50 Countdown gift card. You must leave your email address as confirmation you wish to enter the draw. This will be deemed one entry and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
  3. Winners will be chosen by MHF staff members in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  4. All decisions are final.
  5. Employees of the MHF or anyone else connected with the prize events are not eligible to win the prizes.

2021 Pink Shirt Day NZ Libraries Giveaway

  1. The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) 2021 Pink Shirt Day NZ Libraries Giveaway is open to libraries within New Zealand.
  2. To be eligible, you must send photo(s) of displays or activities your library did for Pink Shirt Day 2021 to library@mentalhealth.org.nz by Friday 28 May 2021 at 5pm. This will be deemed one entry and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Winners will be chosen by MHF staff members in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  4. All decisions are final.

Māori Language Week 2021 Bookset Giveaway

  1. The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) ‘E-Bulletin Māori Language Week 2021 Bookset Giveaway’ is open to residents of New Zealand. 
  2. To be eligible, you must send an email to library@mentalhealth.org.nz telling us your favourite Te Reo Māori word. The competition closes Monday 20 September 2021 at 5pm. This will be deemed one entry and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Winners will be chosen by MHF staff members in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. 
  4. All decisions are final. 
  5. Employees of the MHF or anyone else connected with the prize events are not eligible to win the prizes. 
  6. Entries received after the indicated closing date will not be considered. 
  7. The prize winners will be contacted by an MHF staff member.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2021 prize events

Terms and Conditions 

  1. The Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) prize events (including the social challenge competition and colouring competition) are open to residents of New Zealand. For more specific age restrictions for the colouring competition, please refer to the these on the colouring template.
  2. Entrants into these prize events, will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. 
  3. Winners will be chosen by the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) staff members in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. All decisions are final. 
  4. If you have questions about how to enter any of these events, please see their website pages on the MHAW website, or email mhaw@mentalhealth.org.nz with “MHAW social challenge” or MHAW colouring competition” in the subject line.
  5. Employees of the MHF or anyone else connected with the prize events are not eligible to win a prize. 
  6. Closing dates for each prize event are stated on each event’s webpage. Entries received outside of these time periods will not be considered. 
  7. The prize winners will be contacted by MHF staff members and winners will receive their prize after each event has finished. 
  8. Each prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes. 
  9. The winners content may be required for promotional activity. 
  10. If prize winners do not provide MHF staff with shipping details before Tuesday, 2 November 2021, they will no longer be eligible to receive their prize.

By entering the MHAW 2021 prize events you agree to the collection, retention, usage, and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your entry, and for the purpose outlined above. 
  12. The MHF accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, cannot be delivered or entered, or for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery in any of the events is not proof of acceptance by the MHF.

The MHF accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred by you as a result of entering the Mental Health Awareness Week events or accepting of a prize. The MHF further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s technical devices (ex. a number of devices including computer and phones) relating to or resulting from participation in any of the Mental Health Awareness Week events or merchandise.  
  14. The MHF shall have the right at any time to change or discontinue any aspect or feature of the MHAW 2021 prize events. 
  15. The MHF cannot be held liable, or legally accountable, for any picture or image or information posted by you to participate in any of the MHAW 2021 events, that is found to be in breach of the Privacy Act or Copyright law. You must have copyright and or permission to use any picture or image or information you post. You must inform the MHF as soon as possible if you are issued with such a challenge. Library Info Hub Annual Survey

$50 Countdown Gift Card Draw

  1. The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) Library Info Hub Annual Survey $50 Countdown Gift Card draw is open to residents of New Zealand.
