Sophia Graham

Sophia has a BA from the University of Auckland, majoring in both psychology and classics. She spent several years working in communications for a packaging company before coming to the Mental Health Foundation (MHF). She has travelled widely – including a stint teaching at a school in Huayllarcocha, Peru – and has a passion for learning about other cultures and listening to the stories people tell.

During her tertiary studies, Sophia worked part-time as an English tutor for high school students – an experience that failed to cure her of her love of literature, but did exhaust any patience she ever had for discussing the Twilight franchise.

Working for the MHF has allowed her to pursue her interests in social justice and mental health. She loves reading, spending time with her family and friends, and blueberries. She hates tomatoes. And maths.
