Kiritahi Firmin is the founder and CEO of Kimiora Trust, a Māori suicide prevention training organisation. For more than a decade Kiritahi and her team have been training and supporting Māori communities throughout Aoteaora.

Kiritahi was raised on her marae Kaiwhaiki, situated close to the Whanganui River. She has been involved in business and education for over 20 years. She holds several degrees from Pākehā organisations but her proudest accomplishment was graduating from her marae with expertise in language, culture and Matauranga Māori.

Kiritahi brings to the MHF plentiful experience of working with communities and the ability to view the world through a kaupapa Māori lens, where she speaks forcefully for the tangata whenua. She has a strong desire to reduce disparities for Māori and to ensure that Aotearoa is a place where all people can flourish. Kiritahi is proud to be on the MHF Board and to bring a diverse perspective to the table.
