Emily has a BA (Hons) in English from the University of Otago, and a MA in English Literature from the University of Washington. Prior to joining The Mental Health Foundation, Emily spent three years as a communications advisor in the prime minister’s communications team in Wellington. Emily is passionate about using social media to promote good mental health and destigmatise mental illness, and jumped at the chance to join the MHF to help contribute to its mahi.
When not at work, Emily likes to watch live music, go out with friends and spend time with her golden retriever, Doug. She is also an avid creative writer, and is slowly making progress on her first novel.
