Donna-Jean Tairi-Ngata has an extensive background in health promotion coupled with 3 years study in health promotion. She brings a broad range of expertise and connections having held several roles working on programmes and kaupapa focused on Māori health, community action youth & drugs, rangatahi health and wellbeing, homelessness, mental health and disabilities, suicide, physical health & nutrition, and advocacy for children in care. Donna is a Kaiārahi Senior Community Engagement Health Promotion lead at MHF . She project leads our mahi for education settings and provides strategic direction to the working well mahi particularly developing and delivering culturally responsive approaches that create supportive work environments for Māori.
Donna is a kapahaka performer and is involved in other kaupapa Māori , advisor in the music industry and supports her sons small business endeavours. She currently is studying a Masters in Māori and Indigenous Leadership degree with University of Canterbury.
