COVID-19 has been one of the biggest challenges to our collective mental health we’ve seen in several generations, and New Zealanders, by and large, have faced this challenge by looking after each other and getting through it together.

We’ve put together this information for you so you have what you need to get through.

Here you’ll find wellbeing tips (we have a version customised for healthcare workers; they have also been translated into several Asian languages), support for those struggling (this section also includes advice about how to access mental health services at different alert levels), some guidance for parents and whānau, information about suicide prevention, advice for those experiencing grief and loss and a list of helpful resources.

You’ll also find information about our two national campaigns to respond to COVID-19, Getting Through Together and Meh Time to Me Time.

We try to keep this section of our website up-to-date as alert levels change, but the most current advice from us can usually be found on our social media channels.

Remember, a pandemic is not an easy thing to live through, but as long as we have each other, we   have what we need to get through. It’s all right to feel a bit frustrated, hōhā, overwhelmed or over it sometimes – and it’s also all right to feel grateful, lucky and relieved. We’ll get through this together.
