Submissions to the government’s mental health inquiry close on 5 June, 2018.

You can have your say by making a submission to the Department of Internal Affairs website. Full details of the process are available online, including translated versions of the submission document.

The Mental Health Foundation is contributing to the inquiry to ensure it looks at the big picture, to create a visionary, ambitious and cohesive approach to promoting wellbeing, preventing mental health problems and supporting people through hard times.

However, the MHF did not establish the inquiry or is involved in taking submissions. The Minister of Health commissioned this inquiry, which is being undertaken by a panel of six New Zealanders with diverse backgrounds, who is working alongside a secretariat team, including researchers and analysts at the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA).
