Sometimes, when times are tough and we’re feeling low, we can reach for behaviours or coping mechanisms that might feel good for a little while but that ultimately aren’t good for us or our whānau or loved ones. These include:
- Yelling
- Drinking too much alcohol
- Smoking or vaping too much
- Pacing
- Skipping meals
- Staying in bed all day
- Sleeping too much or money
- Spending too little money
- Spending too much time online
